When the vintage is good enough, even the shelf staples become worth noting. Mâcon-Villages Deux Roches from the brilliant 2024 is a really good buy, especially at 226 kroner.
The wine is a collaboration between the Collovray and Terrier families, who have been making wine in Mâcon, in southern Burgundy, since the 1950s. Still, the two did not find their current form until 1985.
The wine is made from one hundred percent chardonnay, and has such wide distribution that it can be found in virtually every Vinmonopol outlet. But make sure you pick the 2024, and not the warmer and more corpulent 2023.
