The Lequin-Colin family has made wine in Burgundy since 1673 and has distinguished itself as perhaps the best producer in Santenay, in southern Burgundy. The family business came to be when the parents of today's generation François Lequin-Colin — his father, René Lequin, married Josette Colin. She came from another well-known wine family in the neighboring village of Chassagne-Montrachet, and together they built up a small, family-run vineyard in 1992.
