You know, when you want the taste of Nebbiolo, but not the tannins. Like Davide Rosso's Langhe Nebbiolo from 2024. It smells and tastes of wild strawberries and flowers, and has a refinement that one can hope more wines in Piemonte will display in the 2024 vintage.
What's lovely, in addition to showcasing both Davide Rosso's talent and the potential of 2024, is that the wine is part of Vinmonopolet's regular range and the price is a wonderful 250 kroner. Which makes this an incredible amount of wine for the price.
Perfect with pasta, truffle and mushrooms, especially porcini, if you're lucky. And of course a light lamb dish.
