Clear, concentrated and true to the grape, with a length that lingers, the MadMax riesling trocken and Killer kabinett from Max Kilburg, one of the Mosel’s fresh young stars, are hard to match at 259 kroner at Vinmonopolet.
The grapes for MadMax III come from Wintricher Grosser Herrgott, an Erste Lage vineyard that borders Wintricher Ohligsberg and wraps around the Kilburg family’s winery. The wine is fermented in steel and made exclusively for the Norwegian market, now for the third year running.
Killer kabinett arrives for the second time. And the grapes in this wine also come from Wintricher Grosser Herrgott — the same vineyard used for MadMax. With 45 grams of sugar and a full 9.5 grams of acidity, which makes the wine very food-friendly and not least suitable for cellaring.
Both wines from Max Kilburg arrive at Vinmonopolet in the November release on November 4, and can be ordered from 08:00 in the online shop.
